This bold, surreal headpiece adds a bit of elegance or drama to any outfit.  It was inspired by the Chinese myth about the Lady on the Moon.
 
A very large, but lightweight crescent moon is made out of woven sinamay that has been hand-painted a glittery silver.  
 
The clouds are accented by two hand-painted Chinese style clouds on the front. It took me several hours to pain the clouds themselves, in real-life they have a matte-white painted texture accented with 14K gold paint, which really gives it an illustrative quality.
 
It is hard to capture the beauty of this piece in a photograph, the silver and gold of the headpiece really pop in real-life.  
 
The clouds are individually wired.  Their position can be adjusted.
It comes attached to a wide black satin headband that has a wire comb also attached.
