The bowler hat is attached to a wide, black satin headband with hidden wiring, which gives it a "floating" look. It looks like it's floating atop your head, this effect is not as evident in the listing pictures, it is much more evident in person.
The wirework allows you to adjust the position of the hat to your liking. You can even fold it down for storage or to not block people's view of the stage at events.
